Mt. Longemain (or Langemain) is 6294 meters above sea level. It is located in the middle of the Gongga Mountains in Daxueshan Range, Sichuan Province, China. Its west side base camp is near what is called “winter pasture” of the popular Minya Konka Trek.This mountain is easy to access. 320 kilometers from Chengdu and 20 kilometers from Kangding, Ganzi Prefecture. Horses can reach the ABC camp.
It has a 6074-meter side peak at its southeast.
Climbing History
First attempted and summited in 2004 and after worth few attempts have been made.
In 2004 a team from Newzealand made the first summit by its west ridge.
In 2012 a Chinese team stopped at 5300 meters due to anvalache.
