Songpan is a town by north of Sichuan Province. From Songpan one gets to the heart of Minshan Range including the mountains of Xuebaoding and Hongxing. To access to the mountains including Xuebaoding, Sigenxiang and Little Xuebaoding, it is via Minjiang Village before arrive to Songpan to the village of Shang Nami.
Songpan is located 330km north to the city of Chengdu. Songpan is at an elevation of 2860m.
Songpan is a county level town with plenty choices of hotels and restaurants. Songpan is on a popular tourist route to Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong Park hence there are plenty of hotels available. The road is also good.
