Mt. Gompo Zhasu is also called Mt. Jiangbianyang. It is a 5863 meters mountain that has been summited twice til 2021. From local people it is called Mt. Jiangbianyang, a god mountain. Mt. Gompo Zhasu is one of the highest mountains in Genyen Massif and it is located in the central part of the Genyen Range. It was first climbed in 2016.
Mt. Gompo Zhasu is located by the central part of Genyen Massif north to Mt. Hutsa, and south to Mt. Ebamei.
Both trips in 2016 and 2018 were conducted from Lenglong Valley via Lenggu Monastery and via different side valleys one goes from its south and one goes by its west.
2016 team called this mountain Hutsa, which by now we find incorrect. Mt. Hutsa is a 5912-m mountain more south to Gompo Zhasu. This has been confirmed by multiple resources including the 2018 trip to Gompo Zhasu summit.
